Pies ’n’ Thighs opened in 2006 under the Williamsburg Bridge, serving giant donuts and crispy fried chicken from a tiny kitchen in a dive bar. Praised by The New York Times as “easy to love once found,” it has since been named Best Fried Chicken and Best Apple Pie by Food & Wine and Bon Appétit, and Best Donut by New York Magazine. After 19 years perfecting homemade comfort food, Pies ’n’ Thighs will open its second Brooklyn location in Prospect Heights next year.
Pies 'n' Thighs has been awarded Best Apple Pie and Best Fried Chicken in national surveys by Food & Wine and Bon Appétit, Best Donut in New York by New York Magazine, and Best Biscuits in New York by the New York Daily News. When Martha Stewart visited she remarked it was "the best fried chicken I've ever had."
